My Brothers,

WOW, January 9, 2011 – Installation Day at Cosmopolitan Lodge – what a day! Brothers, family, friends, I was and am very honored by your presence and support at the installation. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I also want to thank everyone that was involved in making the Installation of the 2011 Officers a meaningful and successful event. I am very excited and honored by the opportunity to serve our Lodge as the 2011 Master.

Congratulations to WB Kenneth L Dworkin as the recipient of the Fellowcraft Club’s ‘Mason of the Year’ award. I want to congratulate Ken for this award and his continued above and beyond support of the Lodge.

The new Community Service Committee is already hard at work and has had its first meeting. This produced many great ideas for community service to and involvement in the New Haven community. The Committee has invited representatives of the Connecticut Yankee Council, BSA and the Council’s Lighthouse District to talk to us about the Lodge becoming a Charter Organization for a Cub Pack with the New Haven Hooker Elementary School. A Cub Pack serves boys ages 7 to 10 years old.

We will finish January with a short business meeting and then a degree rehearsal on January 19^th. February 2^nd we have an EA Degree scheduled with SW Stephen T.  Smith in the East.. On February 16^th we will have a presentation by RW Carl Ek on Colonial Masonry. I hope to see many of you at Bro. Ek’s talk.

Please come to Lodge and help your officers make this year a good year for Masonry and our Lodge.
